Action Martial Arts Hall of Honors 2026
25th Anniversary • Tropicana Atlantic City, New Jersey • February 1, 2026
February 1, 2026, became another very special and memorable chapter in my lifelong journey through the martial arts.
I had the great honor of attending the 25th Anniversary Action Martial Arts Hall of Honors 2026 at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where I was honored with the Elite Martial Arts Spirit Award.
After more than four decades devoted to martial arts, receiving this recognition was deeply meaningful to me. But the award itself was only one part of what made this evening truly unforgettable.
The greatest joy was sharing it with wonderful friends and some truly remarkable people from the worlds of martial arts, professional sports, and action cinema.
I was especially happy to spend this memorable evening with my close friend Dai Shihan Steve Jackowicz.
My longtime friend, legendary kickboxing champion and action movie star Don “The Dragon” Wilson.
he incredible Cynthia Rothrock — the Queen of Martial Arts and one of the most iconic female martial arts stars in action cinema.
And the undefeated and incomparable legend of Full-Contact Karate and Kickboxing, Benny “The Jet” Urquidez.
It was also a great pleasure to share this occasion with my friend and SoKarate representative in Mexico, Shihan Manuel Contreras.
Being together with these extraordinary people made the evening much more than an awards ceremony. We laughed, remembered old stories, talked about martial arts and life, met old friends and new ones, and simply enjoyed being together.
The atmosphere was incredible — champions, masters, instructors, pioneers, actors, stunt professionals, and martial artists from different generations and different parts of the world gathered under one roof, united by the same lifelong passion.
For me, martial arts have never been only about fighting, trophies, belts, titles, or victories.
They are about spirit, character, friendship, loyalty, respect, and the strength to keep moving forward regardless of the challenges life puts in front of us.
Perhaps that is why receiving the Elite Martial Arts Spirit Award has such a special meaning for me.
I am sincerely grateful to the organizers of the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honors for this recognition, their hospitality, and for creating an event that brings the martial arts family together.
And from my heart, I thank my friends for making this evening so warm, joyful, and unforgettable.
After more than four decades in martial arts, thousands of students, countless tournaments, seminars, travels, victories, challenges, and friendships around the world, I still have the same passion for what I do.
And I truly believe that some of the most exciting chapters are still ahead of us.
The journey continues.
